Panda(ology)

Has anyone ever been to Panda(ology)? Its in Broad Ripple, sort of hidden back near Bazbeaux and Petit Chou, next to French Pharmacie. I went in with my son yesterday to see what it was all about. Basically, its a store filled with Japanese-inspired stuff like clothes, purses, home decor, etc. BUT the cool part is the Asian market tucked away in the back. It's like a Japanese mini-mart. All kinds of imported snacks, noodles, teas and sauces, and then a refrigerated section with drinks and sushi and salads.

Their sushi is made fresh by Naked Tchopstix. Mmmm! They have a little eating area with tables in case you want to dine in, but I was in between errands and just grabbed a California roll to inhale in the car at stoplights (classy, I know). The staff was so friendly, and seeing my son, she mentioned they're starting to host special events like origami classes for kids.

This would be a great spot for a girls' lunch out (shopping AND sushi in one spot!) or to bring a book and have a peaceful lunch alone. Check this place out next time you're in Broad Ripple!
